Music and Drama Students

Enrico, 16 years old, Brazil

Enrico likes his music! He’s been playing the drums since he was 10, and plays a bit on the cajon too. He has a black belt in taekwondo and enjoys playing soccer too. Enrico has great relationships with those around him, and is a calm and funny student who likes to make jokes. Enrico’s a good student and is planning on going to university, although he isn’t sure yet what he would like to study.

Family Orientated and Thoughful Students

William Avery, 16 years old, USA

William is an easy-going student who is close to his four siblings. He’s hoping to follow in his father’s footsteps by coming to New Zealand as an AFS student. He takes part in wrestling and soccer on his school team, and enjoys the chance to go skiing each year. William has had the opportunity to try surfing and is keen to give it another go. Does your family have a spare board he can borrow?

Dhirajlal, 16 years old, Kenya

Dhirajlal is a self-motivated and friendly student, keen to learn more about the New Zealand school system. He values education, and hopes to be an aeronautic engineer in the future. He enjoys reading, exploring, playing chess and cricket. Dhirajlal’s a friendly student who enjoys meeting new people. Her prefers a vegetarian diet.

Oscar, 17 years old, Chile

Oscar’s a keen rugby player, and likes getting out and practicing with his father and brother as well as playing for his school team. Oscar’s also a member of his local boy scout group and enjoys camping with them. He’s a funny, sociable and sincere student who’s good at adapting to different situations.
